Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges.
The current Winchburgh Scout group was restarted in 2015 by a dedicated group of volunteers looking to bring Scouting back to the village. Since then, the group has gone from strength to strength. We have regularly been the fastest-growing group across the whole of West Lothian. We take hikes around the local area, go on camps to The Craigs or Fordell Firs campsites, and teach skills for life no matter where we are.
We are always looking for volunteers to help us deliver quality experiences to our young people. You can work directly with the sections or help with the background tasks required to run a successful group. If you are interested in volunteering, we can use your help.
